We are blogging live from the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, HI, home of the 2008 WAC Volleyball Tournament. We are just starting the semi-final round in day two of the tournament.
San Jose State and New Mexico State are on the court now.
New Mexico State is leading the set 4-3.
New Mexico State with the serve, San Jose State with the point.
The Aggies lead by two, 7-5. Aggie serve, Spartan point.
The Spartans have claimed the lead, 10-9.
We have another lead change as the Aggies have pulled one point ahead of SJSU, 12-11.
Time out. New Mexico State leads by four, 15-11.
The teams are back on the court and New Mexico state claims the first point.
The winner of this match will move on to the championship round set for Sunday at 3p.m. (HST)
The Aggies now lead by four, 19-15.
Time out San Jose State. The Spartans are down by five, 20-15.
Match point New Mexico State.
I just noticed that the head coach for one of our teams is wearing a "Chandler Bing" type shirt and the other has an outfit that resembles Jerry Seinfeld.
New Mexico state takes the first set of the match, 25-18.
New Mexico State has claimed the first two points of the second set.
New Mexico State has six unanswered points and the Spartans call a time out.
San Jose State just scored their first point of the match.
The Aggies are up 11-6.
The Spartans have pulled within two of the Aggies.
We are now tied at 14.
The crowd is really getting behind the Spartans who are up by one point.
San Jose State leads 18-20 in the second set of the match.
We are tied at 21.
Match point New Mexico State.
New Mexico State only needs to win one more set to advance to the championship match.
The Aggies lead 6-5 in the third set of the match.
We are now tied at seven.
The Aggies are down one point.
A weather note for those of you on the mainland....although Hawai'i is traditionally sunny...we are under a flash flood warning....just thought I would share this tid bit of information with all of you....
